B:
Just as long as the sex isn't limited to interviews.
You know, I think this idea could sell. Is there a procedure for suggesting 'new light' to the GB? Like a 'suggestions box' in KHs?
the litter-ature over the years has teachings that imply jehovah's special people are all on the verge of having unplanned sex on a moment's notice, with anyone, at any time.. you must have a chaperone if you are to be alone with someone of the opposite sex, even briefly.. this applies to people of any ages.
you could be a 99-year-old raisin whose flagpole hasn't risen since rutherford was living in beth sarim, but you still shouldn't be alone with a pimply 16-year-old shy obese virgin who still plays with barbie dolls.
she's a seductress!

'where there will be no sex problems amid a sex-crazy population'
Does this mean that amid the sex-crazy population to come in the new world, nobody will have a problem getting sex? Now that could be a selling point for the dubs.

I like the bit a sentence or two before rebel8's quote starts.
IIRC it says sometning to the effect that (while in bovine phase) 'a girl can get pregnant with just one sex interview'.
To update that to modern technology, would that include phone, sms, or on-line chat interviews. And just who are the potent people who can script such an interview?
i am seventeen years of age and have been born into christianity by my parents.
for some reason i havent really been all that into going to my christian church.
some of the things we discuss are very confusing.
"The people doubting this poster is genuine were probably Linda's (fullofdoubtnow) best friends."
I've been away for a while. I don't follow this remark. What's the significance, please?
can you say the word [moderator edit] on this site.. its so funny it laugh so much!!!!!.
wary.
Or you could use a euphimism - like Britney Spears does in her song title 'If You Seek Amy'
i have just re-read a couple of my postings - no, the apolgy is not for being narcissistic!.
i hope i have made it clear throughout my postings here that while never a jw, i have intense sympathy, empathy and concern for those who have suffered, and continue to suffer, from this bullying and corrupt (imho) quasi-religion.
i hope that on occasion an 'outsider's' view may be helpful.. .
And now I note that I can't even spell my thread title correctly!

I have what at times may be described as an 'odd' 'quirky' or just 'weird' sense of humour and sometimes I post things that could be offensive if taken the wrong way.
I just wanted to say that I have no intention to offend or to belittle or minimalise the pain, suffering and horror of those who have experienced the effects of this evil religion, and I hope that members will take them in the spirit in which they are intended.
And if I do cause offence, please tell me and I will try to be more thoughtful.
Thanks.
i have heard that "paradise" will be achieved gradually; that it will take all of the thousand years to reach that state of perfection.. .
now, while you may be convinced that it will take all that time to bring the earth back to it's pristine state....suppose it applies to humans as well?.
imagine this scenerio: wounds and broken bones heal slowly and gradually; your bags and sags are still there, but since you have seen results of other people, you hang on that the promise will be for you, too.
More idle thoughts, and off-topic, I'm afraid (but linked with my thoughts of 18 year old nubiles) - does anyone else get lots of ads popping up for dating sites?
So far I have had 'Muslim matrimonials' 'Iranian matchmaking' 'East European Friends' 'Asian Lovelies' and quite a few more. Oh, and greek-language game-playing sites (a bit more understandable).
For the record, if I can register preferences, south-east asian ladies do it for me. I have (or may not have, we shall see) a Thai girlfriend to whom I am 'faithful' in a LDR and until that is resolved I don't need temptations, thanks. I am, after all, worldly and we are known for not being able to resist temptation.
BTW, in the new paradise, do you stay where you are when it hit, or can you move around a bit. Thailand would be my choice, if it is possible to express one.

Farkel:
Thanks for this. Are there any prophecies about what the age for marriage/procreation will be?
Just thinking (idly) that WT is a USA-based religion, and there are so many variations in the age of consent/marriage across the US, I wonder whether the GB have sat down and tought about this - and if so, to be crude, did they have boxes of Kleenex at hand?
I'm surprised that the dubs don't focus on this more as a selling point.

20 Billion? They must be joking!
I have recently been reading various reports expressing concern about the world population reaching 8 or 9 billion, and the problems which will arise because of food, energy and water resources.
An example: I live on an island with a population (probably) of less than I million. As recently as a few months ago our reservoirs were (well) below 10% capacity. We had mains water about 33% of the time, other parts of the island were not so lucky. We have had an unusually 'wet' winter, so we're up to about 20% capacity and mains water most days. But we have to build another desalination plant, which runs on (oil-powered) electricity.
And this is a (theoretically at least) 'first world' country and part of the EU.
I accept, of course, that in the 'fantasyland' that is JW doctrine everything may be perfect. But (as always) selectively (and corruptly, IMHO) quoting scientific or pseudo-scientific stuff to try and predict and support their fantasies is dishonest.
Better they just say 'the paradise fairy will ensure everything will be wonderful'. And you know what? I doubt that many convinced, or scared, or brainwashed, or apathetic dubs would challenge them.
